Engineer I | Moss Point, MS (Hybrid/Onsite)We're looking for an entry-level Engineer I to join a growing team supporting power and utility system design. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants hands-on experience in design, construction support, and engineering processes.What you'll be doing:• Support the design and construction of power-related systems using engineering standards and software tools• Assist with cost estimates, design options, and preparation of construction packages• Work closely with contractors to review designs, estimates, and specifications• Partner with internal teams across design, construction, and maintenance• Support day-to-day operations including material estimates and construction documentation• Learn and apply Southern Company and industry design standardsWhat we're looking for:• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field)• 0–5 years of experience in engineering or design• At least 2 years of CAD experience• Experience reviewing, marking up, and updating mechanical drawings (P&IDs)• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail• Positive attitude and strong work ethic• Ability to collaborate with engineers, plant teams, and vendorsWhy this role:• Hands-on exposure to real-world utility and power projects• Opportunity to grow within a well-established organization• Great team environment with strong mentorshipIf you're early in your engineering career and want to build a strong foundation in power systems and design, I'd love to connect.
