Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - $2,350 to $2,550 per week in Bainbridge Island, WA

Speech Language Pathologist Location: Bainbridge Island, WA Agency: United Health Care Staffing Pay: $2,350 to $2,550 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 6/1/2026 About the Position Speech Language Pathologist Location: Burien, WA Start Date: 06-01-2026 End Date: 08-31-2026 Contract Type: Contract Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Day) Hours per Week: 40 Roles & Responsibilities Conduct thorough swallow evaluations and dysphagia assessments to guide safe patient care Provide individualized treatment for patients with dysphagia and related communication needs Perform limited cognitive evaluations and interventions as appropriate Deliver compassionate care across ICU, PCU, Tele, Medical, Surgical and ED settings Collaborate closely with nursing, rehab aides, and interdisciplinary teams for coordinated treatment plans Document assessments and treatment in EPIC accurately and in a timely manner Educate patients and families on safe swallowing strategies and prognosis Participate in departmental orientation and contribute to a positive clinical culture Knowledge & Skills Expertise in dysphagia and swallow evaluations Familiarity with acute inpatient workflows and patient populations (CVA, post-op cervical, end-of-life care) Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting Ability to assess and treat communication and limited cognitive deficits Skilled at patient/family education and discharge planning collaboration Comfort evaluating and treating patients across ICU, PCU, Medical, Surgical and ED environments Requirements Washington state license required BLS certification required CCC-SLP verification required Minimum of 2 years acute inpatient SLP experience Experience with EPIC charting Comfort working across critical care areas (ICU/PCU/ED) and floating between sites Video swallow (VFSS/MBSS) experience preferred but not required Strong communication and teamwork skills Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision coverage to keep you healthy and smiling Paid Time Off so you can recharge and come back ready to care Licensure assistance & reimbursement to support your professional growth Continuing education and CEU support to help you stay current A collaborative, supportive team that values your expertise Flexible scheduling options to help balance life and work Career development and internal mobility opportunities Workplace perks like business casual or scrubs in any color - comfort encouraged
