Pest Control Technician

In this energetic role, you will apply your expertise in pest management to identify, treat, and prevent pest issues across residential, commercial, and agricultural settings. Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest activity and potential entry points Apply appropriate pest control treatments using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment Maintain accurate records of treatments performed, chemicals used, and follow-up schedules Educate clients on pest prevention strategies and provide adequate customer service to clients Drive to and from properties safely Requirements Prior experience or knowledge in pest control, lawn care, landscaping, farming, or agriculture is desirable but not needed Ability to handle hand tools, power tools, motors, and machinery safely and effectively Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for travel between job sites Strong communication skills to explain procedures clearly to clients Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift moderate loads regularly Basic understanding of land management practices or experience with farming operations is a plus Certification or training in pest control methods is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate and will be paid for by The Bug Guy Minimal education requirements - Candidates will need to be able to pass open note South Dakota licensing tests which The Bug Guy will pay for Join us if you’re passionate about creating healthy environments through proactive pest management!
