Join us to find more than a job, find a career.The Fiscal and Operational Support Division is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Senior Utilities Maintenance Coordinator.Job DescriptionGeneral Functions:This key position plans, organizes and supervises the activities needed to maintain materials and supplies in the Utilities warehouse that are necessary for the operation, administration and maintenance of the Water Utilities System. Writes requisitions, researches prices, corresponds with vendors and orders supplies. Supervises, schedules, prioritizes and assigns work activities for staff. Tasks require knowledge of parts and materials involved in highly complex technical work on water & wastewater utilities infrastructure.Work is performed with considerable independence and the exercise of independent judgment under the general supervision of the Utilities Supervisor.Representative Duties/ AssignmentsResponsible for the purchase of stock and non-stock items required for the Water & Wastewater System operations.Understand and maintain a computerized inventory management system (Maximo).Ordering parts and supplies and keeping records.Tracks open orders through the inventory system (Maximo) for back ordered items and complete transactions and orders, as items are available.Ensures that the Utilities warehouse is maintained in a neat, clean fashion and there are no safety violations. Protects the security of the inventory by following the established security procedures.Assists with, and may lead, the annual inventory.Supervises assigned staff, including preparing evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.Assigns and manages staff rotation for standby duties, while providing training and support on standby procedures and responsibilities. Participate in standby duties as needed to cover for position vacancies or staff absences.Performs other related duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a supervisory role over warehouse, inventory, or parts/materials management or a supervisory role in water or wastewater system maintenance. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Must possess and maintain a Florida driver¿s license.Based on the area of assignment, it may be required to possess and maintain the appropriate certification or license.PreferencesBachelor¿s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.Experience with material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacksPrefer experience in using Maximo the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
