Construction Site Superintendent
Position Summary
WIELAND’s Superintendents are expected to take ownership and drive a schedule to produce a successful project. They will provide overall onsite management for the safe and timely completion of the project while maintaining the budget.
Job Functions
o Collaborate with project team weekly to develop and maintain schedule, including a 3-4 week look ahead and hold subcontractors accountable in meeting the schedule.
o Prepare daily reports within the current software system with detail and accuracy.
o Schedule inspections from authority having jurisdiction to ensure the project stays within the schedule.
o Provide oversight and leadership to subcontractors on site.
o Adhere and enforce the safety and cleanliness of the jobsite.
o Maintain document control of all critical information under your responsibility including insurance and contract documentation.
o Ensure all sub-trades, workers, and suppliers perform according to contract provisions, specifications, and drawings.
o Recognize future problems, perform research, and propose preventative action.
o Monitor and walk the jobsite daily to ensure compliance with current corporate safety standards.
o Develop relationships with Owners, Subcontractors, and the Design Team.
o Notify project team of any potential risks and assist in preparing a contingency plan.
o Ensure accuracy of project documentation within WIELAND’s current software system.
o Daily coordination and supervision of sub-trades, workers, and suppliers.
o Ensure all sub-trades, workers, and suppliers perform according to contract provisions and drawing specifications.
o Maintain a photo library of project progress within the current software system, that is easily accessible and understandable.
o Direct weekly or daily jobsite coordination meetings depending on project demands and ensuring meeting minutes are tracked.
o Plan all field operations in a timely manner.
o Update the project schedule within a timely manner.
o Ability to develop familiarity with site requirements, material and full range of trade division.
o Understand and verify materials, procedures and installation are being performed as required by contract documents.
o Hold punch list meetings with subcontractors and complete in an appropriate amount of time.
o Ability to anticipate and prioritize complications and create a plan to reach a solution.
o Recognize future problems and propose to implement preventative action.
o Communicate positively and effectively with other companies and departments.
o Ability to receive methods for improvement or constructive criticism.
o Actively lead by example and champion diversity in everyday actions and decisions.
o Respect differences and similarities; listen and take the time to understand viewpoints of others.

o Flexibility to travel as projects demand.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
