DevOps Engineer

Our engineers thrive in a collaborative, zero-bureaucracy environment where innovation is encouraged, expertise is valued, and contributions directly support critical national security missions.We are seeking a highly skilled Principal DevOps Engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD.What You'll DoAs a Principal DevOps Engineer, you will lead the design, automation, deployment, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure supporting mission-critical applications.Key responsibilities include:Design, deploy, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processesLead DevOps initiatives across development, testing, staging, and production environmentsImplement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management solutions using tools such as Ansible and PuppetManage and optimize Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-based environmentsDevelop automation scripts and tools using Python, Ruby, Java, or similar languagesSupport software development teams through the full application lifecycleArchitect scalable, resilient, and high-availability solutionsMonitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve operational efficiencyServe as a technical leader within Agile development teamsCollaborate across engineering, security, and operations teams to drive continuous improvementRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)10+ years of DevOps, Systems Engineering, or related experienceExperience with:Git and version control best practicesLinux administration (RHEL, CentOS)Docker and KubernetesJenkins and/or BambooAWS cloud environmentsInfrastructure Automation (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment strategiesPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Python, Go, Java, Ruby, C++, or similar programming languagesExperience with Software Defined Networking (SDN)Experience supporting Platform as a Service (PaaS) environmentsElasticsearch (Kibana a plus)Redis, ActiveMQ, Memcache, or similar technologiesSecurity Clearance:Current/Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.Why Envision Innovative Solutions:• Average Employee Tenure: 7-10 Years – Stability and long-term growth.• $3,000 Annual Training Budget• 5 Weeks PTO• 100% Employer-Paid Medical Coverage• $1,200 Phone & Internet Stipend• 401(k) + ~10% (Vested Day One)• 5% Annual BonusThe projected compensation range for this position is $200,000.00-$220,000.00.
