The hours are 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.School Summary:At Crossroads Charter Schools, we...Develop school environments where all students are actively and meaningfully engaged in rigorous instruction and authentic learning tasks.Interrupt the "school to prison pipeline" - policies and practices that are directly and indirectly pushing the most at-risk students out of school and on a pathway to the juvenile and criminal justice systems.Engage families as partners in meaningful ways.Nurture an open, collaborative, and trusting environment because the work is enormous, deeply personal, emotional and often difficult.Engage in on-going job-embedded professional development through co-teaching and co-planningPosition Summary:Serves as the primary ambassador for the school, providing professional front office management while acting as the central hub for communication and organizational support among stakeholders, including staff, students, visitors and volunteers.Position Responsibilities:Front Office Operations & Customer ServiceServe as the first point of contact by answering phones, greeting and directing visitors, and responding to inquiries from students, families, staff, and community membersMaintain a welcoming, organized, and professional front office environmentTake and relay messages accurately and in a timely mannerManage front office traffic, ensuring safety and proper visitor proceduresEnrollment & Student RegistrationSupport student enrollment processes, including new student registration and withdrawal proceduresAssist families with completing enrollment applications and required documentationSupport ensuring all enrollment documents are collected, verified, and properly filedSupport in updating enrollment information in the Student Information System (SIS)Partner with central office on enrollment tracking, waitlists, and lottery processes as applicableCommunicate with prospective and newly enrolled families to support a smooth onboarding experienceStudent Information & Records ManagementMaintain accurate student records in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)Request, send, and manage cumulative student records within required timelinesSupport data entry and updates in the Student Information System (SIS), including:Assist in updating student phone numbers, addresses, and contact informationSupport data cleanup efforts, including reviewing attendance and enrollment, updating attendance and tardies, and identifying any duplicates, errors, or incomplete entriesMaintaining enrollment and demographic recordsAssist with Free and Reduced Lunch applicationGenerate student reports, lists, and rosters as neededAttendance & ComplianceTrack and monitor daily attendance, absences, and tardiesEnter attendance data into the SIS accurately and consistentlyCommunicate with families regarding attendance concerns and follow-upSupport compliance with state and district reporting requirementsCommunication & Family EngagementSupport proactive and responsive communication with families (English- and Spanish-speaking preferred)Prepare and distribute newsletters, announcements, and flyers as neededAssist with family outreach, reminders, and school-wide communicationsSupport collection of staff bios and updates for school displays (e.g., hallway boards) and the school websiteOperations, Logistics & Vendor CoordinationCoordinate deliveries and manage incoming/outgoing mailSchedule routine maintenance for equipment and facilitiesServe as an initial point of contact for vendors (e.g., transportation, food service, facilities)Support meal services operations, including coordinating meal orders, communicating with food service vendors, and assisting with tracking and distribution logisticsSupport logistics for school events, meetings, and daily operationsStaff Support & SchedulingSupport scheduling and coordination of substitute teachersAssist with field trip logistics, including communication, documentation, and coordinationProvide general administrative support to teachers and school leadershipAssist with calendar management and meeting coordination as neededGeneral Administrative & Central Office SupportSupport the Development Manager with fundraising efforts, including coordinating communications and donor-related logisticsPerform a variety of clerical tasks including filing, document management, and correspondencePartner with central office teams on key administrative processes (e.g., enrollment, compliance, reporting)Support cross-functional projects and school-wide initiativesPerform other duties as assignedExpected Salary - One of your application questions will ask you to indicate your expected salary.
