We support and help each other, working as a team with open communication.Moved by Honor:We take accountability in our work, act with transparency and respect, and believe in always doing the right thing.Position Summary:The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining and repairing company fleet vehicles, including semi-trucks, trailers, hydrovacs, crew trucks and related machinery. This position performs preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to keep equipment running safely and efficiently while supporting daily operations and reducing down time.Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions· Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy duty trucks, trailers, hydrovacs, diesel engines, light duty vehicles, generators and other company equipment· Perform preventative maintenance services including oil changes, brake work, fluid checks, tire service and scheduled inspections· Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical issues to minimize downtime· Complete repairs accurately and in a timely manner to support daily operations· Maintain service records, repair logs, and preventative maintenance documentation· Conduct safety inspections and ensure all equipment is in safe operating condition· Respond to field service calls or emergency repair as needed· Follow all company safety policies and procedures· Perform additional duties as assigned.Required Qualifications2+ years of mechanic experience working with heavy trucks, diesel engines, trailers, construction equipment, or related fleet equipmentExperience diagnosing and repairing mechanical systemsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage time effectively and prioritize repairsDependable, self-motivated, and safety consciousStrong communication skills and ability to work with operations personnelHydrovac equipment experience (preferred)Experience with hydraulic systems, PTO systems or vacuum systems (preferred)DOT inspections and fleet compliance experience (preferred)Must be able to commute to Ault, COPhysical Demand and Work EnvironmentAbility to lift 50 pounds regularlyAbility to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and work with tools for extended periods of timeAbility to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to safely operate tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop machineryMay require occasional after hours or emergency repair responseCompany RequirementsLegally authorized to work in the United StatesMust be able to pass a background check and drug screeningValid driver's license with clean MVRCompensation and Benefits:Salary: $27 -$37 per hourOvertime: Eligible after 40 hours of work in one weekBenefits:Medical, dental, and vision insurance including options for dependentsAdditional voluntary coverage optionsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Paid Family and Medical Leave401(k) with company matchWeekly accrued paid time off (PTO) and paid holidaysCompany Paid:8 Holidays*Short-term disability$25,000 life insurance and AD&DEmployee assistance programReferral Program1888 Industrial Services provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, genetic information, age, or any other status protected under federal, state, and/or local law.Requirements:
