Weekend Shift Fabricator This role focuses on fabricating and assembling components for custom security solutions used with ammunition and explosives for the US military. You will perform a variety of welding processes on mild steel and aluminum, and use cutting equipment to prepare materials to precise specifications. Responsibilities Fabricate and assemble components for custom security solutions related to ammunition and explosives for military applications. Perform MIG welding on mild steel and aluminum components according to project requirements. Perform Stick, Flux core, and TIG welding on a variety of materials, ensuring strong, clean, and structurally sound welds. Interpret and work from blueprints, including welding symbols, to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly. Use plasma cutters and track torches to cut materials to specified dimensions and shapes. Fit and position parts prior to welding to ensure proper alignment and tolerances. Grind and finish welds and surfaces to meet quality and safety standards. Inspect completed welds and assemblies for defects and make necessary adjustments or repairs. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and follow all safety procedures and guidelines. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and quality expectations. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and positive attitude while consistently producing high-quality work. Essential Skills Proven MIG welding experience on mild steel and aluminum. Experience with Flux core or Pulse MIG welding. TIG welding experience on relevant materials. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including welding symbols. Hands-on fabrication experience, including fitting and assembly of metal components. Grinding experience for preparing and finishing welds and surfaces. Torch experience, including the use of track torches for cutting. Strong work ethic and positive, professional attitude. Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with custom or specialized metal fabrication projects. Comfort working with multiple welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux core). Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, precise work. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team. The role involves standing for extended periods, handling metal materials, and working around heat, sparks, and industrial noise while following all safety protocols. A weekend shift differential applies to this schedule. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Bardstown, KY.
