This role serves as a role model, advisor, resource, and leader for the patient care team. Serve as clinical and operational leader for assigned emergency services team(s). Ensure staff competencies, compliance, and unit-based standards are completed and maintained. Monitor monthly operating expense performance aligned to annual budget and targets including:Operating budgetProductivity standardsOvertime utilizationPremium pay standards Communicate and collaborate across interdisciplinary teams to promote inclusion and belonging. Ensure appropriate hiring and provide welcoming onboarding/support for new hires. Champion patient experience with a relationship-focused approach. Ensure accurate payroll/pay practices to meet department and business needs. Manage performance and development of individuals and teams; direct, assign, review work. Support disciplinary actions up to and including termination as required. Maintain stewardship of organizational resources. Support evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and patient experience initiatives. What You'll Do Deliver and support high-quality care to emergency and trauma-level patients. Respond rapidly to critical changes and emergent situations. Serve as clinical resource for patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
