This role is essential in creating a positive first impression for new patients by ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, personable, and able to manage a high volume of calls, referrals, and scheduling tasks.Key Responsibilities:Serve as the primary point of contact for all new patient inquiriesManage incoming calls, voicemails, and online referrals in a timely mannerSchedule new patient appointments in accordance with provider guidelinesCollect and verify patient demographics, insurance information, and referral documentationCoordinate with providers and clinical staff to ensure appropriate scheduling and documentationMaintain accurate records within the EMR systemFollow up on pending referrals and incomplete patient informationEnsure compliance with HIPAA and company policiesProvide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all timesQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education preferredMinimum 1–2 years of medical office or scheduling experience preferredStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to multitask and manage a high-volume workloadExperience with EMR systems and insurance verification preferredKnowledge of medical terminology is a plusSkills & Competencies:Strong attention to detailExcellent organizational skillsAbility to prioritize tasks effectivelyTeam-oriented with a proactive mindsetProfessional communication (phone, email, in-person)Work Environment:Fast-paced medical office settingMay require sitting for extended periods and frequent phone use
