Tax Attorney - Sovereign Wealth Fund

Vested Search are excited to partner with a globally established sovereign wealth fund who are looking to hire a senior tax attorney into their NY office, with a view to running their US tax planning across assetsThis is a highly visible role with a strong focus on funds tax advisory work in addition to wider transactions and investment support in tax, collaborating directly with the Global Head of TaxResponsibilities include:Lead on the US tax aspects of fund formation, structuring, and ongoing operation across private equity and other alternative investment strategies. Assist the design and implementation of fund, feeder, blocker, parallel, and co-investment structures, taking into account investor profiles and commercial objectives. Operate as tax point of contact in relation to investor-facing matters, including review of tax disclosures, responses to investor tax queries, and participation in investor due diligence processes. Support on tax-related aspects of side letters, including analysis of investor specific tax provisions and coordination with Legal and external advisors to ensure consistency and scalability. Monitor and advise on the impact of changes in US tax law and guidance on existing fund structures and future product development. Act as SME on the US tax aspects of M&A, joint ventures, restructurings, and other complex investment transactions across asset classes. Support investment teams throughout the transaction lifecycle, including structuring, tax diligence, execution, and post-acquisition integration. Provide input on transaction structures, acquisition vehicles, financing arrangements, and exit planning, in collaboration with Legal, Finance, and external advisors. Applicants should be JD qualified with a background in tax structuring of funds and transactions within the investment management space
