Who You Are Experienced leader with two or more years of specialty retail experience, emphasizing store operations and/or visual merchandising. Model of professionalism with strong work ethic, integrity and respect for others. Customer‑centric, understanding the importance of exceptional service in growing store sales. Educator, coach and mentor who inspires team associates based on their individual strengths. Organized and strategic with the ability to make independent decisions and work effectively in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment. Clear communicator of business‑related information and brand initiatives. Ambitious, enthusiastic and friendly, able to cooperate in a diverse work environment. Technologically adept to navigate, coach and train on POS/iPad/handheld systems. Comfortable climbing ladders, moving around regularly and standing for extended periods. Able to bend, reach, stretch for product and lift, carry and move at least 40 lbs. Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including opening/closing shifts, weekends and holidays. Open availability of 40 hours per week. What You’ll Do Create and foster a culture of hospitality through exceptional customer experiences and build enduring relationships both internally and externally. Provide an exceptional and meaningful customer service experience that promotes products and builds brand relationships. Achieve sales and service metrics in key measurable areas including clienteling/outreach, appointment setting and Talbots Classic Awards. Partner with the Manager to lead the team with ownership of all operational areas. Plan, execute and lead floor sets, window displays, interior marketing, recalls, markdowns, etc. Educate, train and reinforce brand standards as well as company policies and procedures. Balance operational and selling energy and ensure proper planning, scheduling and prioritizing to meet business needs. Maintain knowledge of business and competitive landscape, fashion trends and key drivers to strategically identify opportunities that maximize sales and achieve financial goals. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and local, state and federal employment laws. Develop and maintain positive relationships that support a productive work environment.
