Schedule Primarily 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with possible variations based on surgery case load. Job Description The Surgical Technologist will work in a dynamic surgical environment and will be responsible for the preparation and assistance during surgical procedures. This role requires experience in various specialties, including General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, OBGYN, Podiatry, Urology, and Dental. ResponsibilitiesPrepare the operating room sterilely and ensure all necessary equipment and instruments are available.Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.Manage surgical supplies and instruments effectively on the sterile field.Provide support during the preparation and recovery of patients. Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureCompletion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.Surgical Technologist Certification is preferred.State of Iowa Mandatory Reporter training is required.American Heart Association BLS certification is required.Ability to stay within a 30-minute radius when on-call.
