PM Field Technician - EPG
The Field Service Technician is responsible for performing jobs involving servicing and repairing of equipment, working both independently and on a team in various field locations. Examples of the types of machinery that the candidate must be able to evaluate and repair diesel engines, gas engines, electric power generators and transfer switches. Extensive on the job training, classroom instruction, and e-learning must be successfully completed to remain in the technician training program. They will demonstrate initiative, commitment to teamwork, enthusiasm for customer service, and dedication to finding solutions in an efficient manner. They will advance in classification as attitude, skill level, and job performance allows. Essential Responsibilities & ExpectationsPlans and performs minor repairs using correct tools and proceduresOrders and return parts for assigned jobs in timely mannerAbility to perform the following tasks on basic components in work area including engine, hydraulic, transmission, and electrical components: remove and install; disassemble and reassemble; perform minor adjustmentsAbility to perform Preventive Maintenance service according to factory guidelinesDemonstrates proper use of service information systemsWorks as helper in field service with experienced Technician as requiredAdheres to and follows all applicable and required safety standards and proceduresWorks independently in the field as required Qualifications EducationHigh school diploma or the equivalent required. ExperienceA minimum of one (1) year's work experience involving mechanical repairs or a combination of relevant experience and equivalent technical education is required.Experience using personal computers and basic typing skills are required.
