Chef de Cuisine Job Summary:The Chef de Cuisine will oversee kitchen operations, manage kitchen staff, and ensure the quality, consistency, and timely delivery of all food orders. The ideal candidate will excel in both classical and contemporary menu development, possess exceptional plate presentation skills, and thrive in both restaurant and banquet settings. Key Responsibilities:Foster a positive, efficient, and collaborative work environment aligned with the mission and values of the Atlanta Athletic ClubSupervise the daily operations of food production, preparation, and presentation to maintain high standards and consistency in the Club’s dining offeringsAttract, develop, and retain talented kitchen staff, while maintaining a safe and supportive workplaceTrain, mentor, and motivate kitchen team members, providing clear communication and constructive feedback to encourage growth and loyaltyOversee the procurement, preparation, and presentation of all menu items, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and cost-efficiencyEnsure that food orders meet the highest quality standards and are delivered on time to guarantee member satisfactionPerform additional duties as required to support kitchen operations and overall club objectivesRequired Skills and Abilities:Expertise in developing diverse and innovative menus, combining classical and modern culinary techniquesSkilled in designing and executing visually appealing, creative, and well-crafted plate presentationsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment, remaining on your feet for extended periodsStrong multitasking abilities while maintaining attention to detailExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to showcase creativity and originality in food choices, preparation, and presentationLead by example, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development among team membersCompetence in responding effectively during emergencies and maintaining safety protocolsStrong understanding of workplace safety standards and ability to recognize and address potential hazardsAbility to develop and maintain positive relationships with members, team members, and vendorsFlexible schedule, including availability to work weekends and holidaysQualifications:A degree from an accredited culinary school (2+ years) or equivalent experience is preferredACF Certification is desirable but not requiredMinimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial or head chef roleProven leadership ability to inspire and develop staff, ensuring the successful achievement of goalsCurrent certification in food safety (ServSafe or an equivalent institution) requiredAtlanta Athletic Club (AAC) is committed to providing a comprehensive benefit program for your physical and financial wellness, creating value in your most important investment - you!
