This fully remote role combines strong technical expertise in wireless technologies with hands-on experience in Linux systems, embedded platforms, and open-source environments, supporting customers as they deploy and optimize cellular connectivity. The FAE provides pre-sales and post-sales technical guidance, troubleshoots integration issues, and partners closely with internal engineering teams to ensure customers succeed with Eagle Wireless products. We are looking for a candidate based on the West Coast.Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Technical SupportServe as the primary technical interface between the company and customers for cellular communication solutions.Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including product demonstrations and integration assistance.Assist customers in configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting products for cellular/WiFi connectivity and for positioning.Product Feedback & Field ValidationCollaborate with internal engineering teams to relay customer feedback and contribute to product improvements.Support field trials and validation of cellular communication systems in real-world environments.Training & EnablementDevelop and deliver technical training sessions, documentation, and best practices for customers and partners.Stay current with industry trends in cellular technologies (4G, 5G, LTE-M, NB-IoT), short range technologies (BT/WiFi), and GNSS.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.3+ years in a Field Application Engineer or similar technical support role.Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems and open-source platforms.Strong understanding of cellular communication protocols and standards (LTE, 5G, etc.).Proficiency in embedded systems, networking, and Linux command-line tools.Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and troubleshooting.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience with modem integration, device drivers, and kernel-level debugging.Knowledge of IoT ecosystems and cloud connectivity solutions.Work Environment & LocationThis position is 100% remote; candidates based on the West Coast of the United States are preferred.Occasional travel may be required to support customer sites, field trials, and industry events.Standard remote work equipment and a reliable home office setup are required.
