Registered Nurse-L&D, Full Time, Day Shift

JOB TITLE: Staff RN Labor & Delivery REPORTS TO: Maternal Child Services DirectorPOSITION SUMMARY: Provides professional nursing care by utilizing the nursing process to care for patients through early pregnancy up to and including the birth process (vaginal or cesarean) and newborn neonates. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Possesses critical thinking skills as demonstrated by ability to prioritize, problem solve, and communicate through chain of command. The treatment of patients should be individualized and should reflect an understanding of the developmental needs and range of treatment needs for each patient. Performs all other duties as assigned.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing preferred. BSN preferred. Minimum of one year nursing experience in Maternal Child Services preferred. Experience in Labor & Delivery preferred.
