Software Tester/QA IV

cFocus Software seeks a Software Tester/QA IV to join our program supporting EPA in Washington, DC. This position has remote capabilities. This position requires active Public Trust clearance.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fieldMaster's degree in Software Testing or Software EngineeringMinimum of 5 years of experience in software testing and quality assuranceAt least 3 years of experience with automated testing tools (specifically Sahi Pro)Minimum 2 years of experience in developing and maintaining test databasesCertified Associate in Software Testing (CAST)Duties:Provide independent testing services for all projects within the PWS scopeDevelop and maintain automated tests using Sahi Pro or other EPA-approved testing toolsCreate and maintain reusable and adaptable test databases and proceduresDesign and implement test cases that cover all aspects of software functionalityConduct independent unit testing of system changes as they are developedPerform unit retesting of corrective changes when necessaryExecute full integration and regression testing prior to any software releaseDevelop and maintain Sahi Pro scripts for consistent and repeatable testingVerify and document successful execution of Sahi Pro testsCollaborate with development teams to understand system requirements and changesIdentify and report software defects, tracking them through to resolutionParticipate in the software development lifecycle, providing QA perspectiveAssist in establishing and maintaining testing standards and best practicesContribute to the continuous improvement of the testing processAnalyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholdersWork closely with EPA personnel to ensure testing meets all requirementsStay updated on latest testing methodologies and toolsMentor junior testers and contribute to team skill developmentParticipate in test planning and estimation activitiesEnsure all testing activities align with project timelines and quality standardsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverageDocument testing procedures and maintain up-to-date test documentationAssist in the evaluation and selection of testing tools and methodologiesContribute to the development of test strategies for complex software systemsEnsure testing processes comply with relevant standards and regulationsProvide regular status updates on testing activities and results
