As the Mental Health Therapist you will serve as the primary Clinical Therapist of our in house Mental Health Therapy services within our Skilled Nursing Facility. You will have the ability to truly build relationships with your residents, their families, providers & facility staff. Integrating behavioral and physical healthcare within Long Term Care.

Our Mental Health Therapist engage in close collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and physicians. As we expand, we're seeking Psychotherapists, Psychiatrists, Psychologists and Licensed Therapists dedicated to providing Therapy and serving the geriatric population in Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care settings.
Position Summary
Comfort being the On-site clinical therapy provider working with residents and their families.
Provide initial assessments, utilize psychotherapy to address mental health issues and offer ongoing support
You have the opportunity to be in charge of your caseload and your schedule.
5 Clinical hours daily – every day is different in setting, some more some less – Bonus potential even meeting clinical hour expectations.
Function as an active, lead member on an interdisciplinary team of physicians and nurse practitioners addressing residents’ emotional, social, and psychological needs.
Responsible for all documentation requirements and keeping up-to-date on Medicare Benefit and commercial insurance plans.
Requirements
Active clinical license – All candidates must be fully licensed by the state of Illinois: LCSW – Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCPC – Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, PsyD/PhD in Clinical Psychology.
Unfortunately, we are not accepting any LPC or LSW candidates at this time.
NPI Number – in process, we can assist
Minimum 5 Clinical hours in a day
Working in 1 facility – you will have a built-in referral network, on top of natural and organic referrals by getting to know your Residents and facility staff.
Effectively communicate with elderly and chronically ill patients and families.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team
Ability to meet with Minimum of 10 patient visits per day - Bonusing even when hitting minimum required number of patient visits.
Geriatric or adult medicine specialty preferred. Previous counseling background working within Long Term Care populations preferred.
Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid and Health Plan benefit structures beneficial, not required
Ability to multi-task & Excellent patient care skills
