Responsibilities Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities: Design HVAC systems Prepare design documents for permitting, bidding and construction. Attend site surveys and field measure existing conditions. Prepare cooling and heating load calculations utilizing Trane Trace Software. Write reports on HVAC systems and designs. Prepare designs for hydronic and air distribution systems. Select major HVAC equipment. Design automatic temperature controls systems and specifications Perform construction administration duties to include shop drawing reviews and responding to RFIs. Attend client meetings during the design of a project and during construction. Collaborates effectively with colleagues, contractors, and clients. Requirements Essential Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering 6-8 years of design experience for HVAC systems Professional Engineer License preferred Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office. Familiar with Trane Trace 700 or Trace 3D plus( for the cooling/heating loads calculations). Capable of writing reports on HVAC systems and designs. Proficient design skills in HVAC and in preparing designs for hydronic and air distribution systems. Capable of selecting major HVAC equipment and of preparing cooling and heating load calculations utilizing Trane Trace Software.
