About the JobUnit HighlightsNurses on 2C care for variety of acutely ill medical- surgical and behavioral health adults and their families. Patients on this unit are admitted with a variety of diagnoses as well as behavioral health diagnoses. It is a great unit to gain experience as a medical-surgical nurse and be exposed to a wide variety of nursing skills and patient populations. The 2C nurses work closely with the hospitalists, psychiatry, medical-surgical residents, physical/occupational therapists, and social workers with the goal of providing safe and high- quality care to our patients. Nurses seek to improve care for medical-surgical and behavioral health patients through nurse-led, evidence-based principles, tools, and education.This 31-bed unit is a great place to become an expert Med/Surg nurse and be exposed to a variety of surgical nursing skills. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans.
