Therapeutic Childcare Team Member (Part-time, Weekend: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)

Therapeutic Childcare Staff: Part-time Weekend Therapeutic Childcare team members work Friday through Sunday from 7 am to 1 pm or 1 pm to 7 pm, providing a safe and developmentally appropriate therapeutic environment to minimize the adverse effects of stressful situations or traumatic experiences of children in crisis. They are responsible for managing the care provided to children visiting our short-term emergency childcare center. Children visiting Jeremiah’s Place may have complex backgrounds and experiences, so staff need to understand the effects of trauma on child development. Therapeutic childcare team members are responsible for providing an enriching environment by implementing S.T.EA.M.-based curriculum throughout our daily schedule, with the ability to adapt activities based on developmental stages.
