Plant Logistics Manager - ONSITE at FARGO ND.You have to be within commutable distanceAGRICULTURE OR CONSTRUTION OR MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIREDWe are currently seeking a Plant Logistics Manager to join our manufacturing facility in Fargo, ND. In this role, you will be responsible for all logistics functions including material handling, manufacturing operational plan, and material buying/planning.This position is a member of the plant senior leadership team and plays a key role in business decisions.The qualified candidate will have:Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Engineering.Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment that has embraced Lean concepts, MRP manufacturing practices, and progressive supplier relationships.Minimum of three (3) years of managerial experience focusing on talent development, standardizing, planning, execution, and process improvementResponsibilitiesOversees Logistics Departmental functions:Material Handling - internal movement within plant & 3PL, warehouse functions, cycle count programs, hourly supervision, logistics engineerManufacturing operational plan - works with central functions to create overarching plan, drives order to delivery functionsMaterial Buying/Planning - communication with supply base from order entry to delivery, manages financial inventory levels and premium freight reductionsDrives departmental metrics aligned with Lean Manufacturing activities in the plant; that is then cascaded down to the teamEnsures process structure, roles, and responsibilities of entire team is alignedManages sister plant and service parts deliveriesSupports new product launch activities by working with Design engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Bill of Materials, Purchasing, and shop floor setupDrives continuous improvement activity throughout supply chain controls within the plant, utilizing tools such as value stream mapping and kaizen events, improving performance; while dramatically reducing indirect labor, equipment, and inventory costs
