Accounting Manager
Mosaic Human Capital Solutions is conducting a search for an experienced Accounting Manager on behalf of a San Antonio organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys improving processes, building structure, and helping modernize financial operations within a stable and growing environment.The organization operates multiple locations across San Antonio and is seeking someone who can take ownership of the accounting function, identify opportunities for improvement, and help implement stronger financial controls and reporting practices.Position SummaryThe Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, support budgeting and financial reporting activities, improve accounting processes, and serve as a key business partner to operational leadership. This individual must be comfortable working independently, driving accountability across multiple locations, and helping elevate the overall sophistication of the accounting function.This is a highly visible role reporting directly to executive leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily accounting operations including general ledger, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reportingImprove accounting workflows, internal controls, and overall back-office processesPartner with operational leaders across multiple locations to ensure financial accuracy and accountabilityAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysisReview and maintain inventory and cost accounting processesEnsure compliance with applicable financial reporting and tax requirementsIdentify gaps in current processes and proactively recommend improvementsSupport system optimization efforts, including evaluating current accounting platforms and future system enhancementsPrepare reports and provide financial insight to executive leadershipCoordinate with external partners including auditors, tax professionals, and vendors as neededTravel locally between San Antonio-area locations as neededQualifications10+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong understanding of accounting operations, financial reporting, and process improvementExperience with cost accounting and inventory accounting requiredPrior experience supporting multi-location operations preferredStrong supervisory and leadership skills, even in environments with limited direct reportsSelf-starter who can work independently and identify areas needing attention without extensive directionExperience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems requiredExperience evaluating or implementing accounting systems strongly preferredBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferredCPA or CMA is a plus, but not requiredCompensation & BenefitsSalary range: $105,000 – $115,000 annuallyPaid vacation and sick leaveStable organization with positive cash flow and long-term growth focusOpportunity to make a meaningful impact on operational and financial processesWork Environment100% on-site position in San AntonioPrimary office located on the west side of San Antonio, with occasional travel to additional local sites
