Job Description:
We are looking for a strong Python Developer with solid Java expertise to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications and services. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in Python development, along with the ability to work effectively with Java-based applications and services. The role requires strong knowledge of backend engineering, REST APIs, microservices, databases, cloud environments, automated testing, and modern software development practices. This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong coding, debugging, problem-solving, and system design capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications and services primarily using Python.
Develop clean, maintainable, reusable, and production-quality Python code.
Work with existing and new Java-based applications, APIs, and microservices.
Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices across Python and Java ecosystems.
Develop Python applications using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, and/or Django.
Work with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
Design solutions for high-volume and performance-sensitive applications.
Work with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, or similar technologies.
Develop efficient SQL queries and troubleshoot application/database performance issues.
Implement asynchronous and event-driven processing using technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.Develop unit, integration, and automated tests using frameworks such as PyTest, unittest, JUnit, and Mockito.
Participate in application design, technical architecture, code reviews, debugging, and production support.
Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
Work with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other developers in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
Follow software engineering best practices related to code quality, security, scalability, performance, and observability.
Required Skills: Python: Expert Level:

- Experience developing or maintaining Java-based REST APIs and microservices
- Ability to debug, enhance, and integrate existing Java applications
- Backend & Microservices:
- Strong understanding of microservices architectureREST API design and integrationJSON and HTTP/HTTPSAuthentication and authorization concepts such as OAuth 2.0 and JWTAPI error handling, logging, resilience, and performance optimization
- Experience with messaging/event-driven systems such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ is highly desirable
- Database Skills:
- Strong SQL knowledge
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or similar relational databases
- Understanding of database design, indexing, transactions, and query optimization
- Exposure to MongoDB, Redis, or other NoSQL technologies is an advantage
- Cloud & DevOps:
- Experience with one or more cloud platforms:

- Hands-on exposure to:

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Strong experience developing enterprise-scale applications
- Experience migrating or modernizing Java applications/services into Python-based services would be an advantage
- Experience with AWS/Azure/GCPKnowledge of distributed systems and event-driven architecture
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
Exposure to financial services, banking, insurance, or other large enterprise environments is a plus.
