Accounts Payable Specialist - Washington, DC Beacon Hill Financial is partnering with a reputable and growing organization based in Washington, DC, to identify a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who brings strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, collaborative environment. The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a key role in supporting day-to-day financial operations and ensuring timely, accurate processing of payables. Key Responsibilities: Process and review vendor invoices to ensure accuracy, proper coding, and required approvals Maintain the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate payments in accordance with internal policies Assist with weekly and monthly payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire payments Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or billing inquiries Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records and documentation Support month-end close activities related to accounts payable, including reconciliations and reporting Collaborate with internal departments to address invoice issues and improve processes Assist with audit support and other ad hoc accounting projects as needed Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
