ControllerDirect-HirePosition SummaryThe Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial activities of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective internal controls, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This position partners closely with operations leadership to provide financial insight, manage cost accounting functions, and support strategic business objectives within a manufacturing environment.Essential ResponsibilitiesManage all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and month-end/year-end close processes.Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.Oversee cost accounting activities, including standard costing, inventory valuation, product costing, and variance analysis.Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes while monitoring performance against established goals.Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee cycle counts and physical inventory processes.Monitor cash flow, working capital, and overall financial performance.Establish and maintain effective internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.Coordinate annual audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and increased profitability.Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, cost accounting, inventory management, and budgeting.Experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Proven leadership and team management experience.CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.Skills & CompetenciesFinancial Analysis and ReportingCost Accounting and Inventory ManagementBudgeting and ForecastingInternal Controls and ComplianceERP SystemsLeadership and Team DevelopmentProcess Improvement and Problem SolvingStrong Communication and Organizational SkillsIf you meet the qualifications outlined above, we encourage you to apply, and we'll schedule an interview with you.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability status, protected veteran status or any other protected status under the law.EverStaff is an equal opportunity employer (M/F/D/V/SO/GI)
