Representing more than 1,700 businesses and 25,000 employees, our mission is to create an environment where businesses, their employees, and our community excel together.Through our nonprofit arm, BendNEXT Foundation, we support leadership development, education, and innovative programs to shape Bend’s future.We’re a small, collaborative team where every member has the chance to make a real impact, and to grow right alongside the Chamber and our community.Position OverviewThe Marketing and Social Media Coordinator is a key support role within the Bend Chamber’s Marketing and Communications team, providing communications support across both the Bend Chamber and its nonprofit arm, BendNEXT Foundation. This position executes day-to-day communications, elevate both organizations’ brands, and ensure consistent, high-quality messaging across all channels.This role blends strong writing, visual storytelling, and digital engagement. The ideal candidate is both creative and detail-oriented, with a passion for connecting with audiences through compelling content and thoughtful design. This is a fast-paced, collaborative position with opportunities to contribute meaningfully to the visibility and impact of both organizations in the community.Position-Related Duties and Responsibilities:Bend Chamber & BendNEXT Communications (40%)Draft, edit, and proofread communications for both organizations, including newsletters, email campaigns, blog posts, website content, and member/program communicationsAssist in developing and maintaining consistent voice and brand standards across both the Chamber and BendNEXTSupport media relations efforts, including drafting press releases and coordinating outreachMaintain and update website content for both entitiesSocial Media & Digital Engagement (30%)Plan, create, and schedule social media content for both the Bend Chamber and BendNEXT FoundationMonitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and foster online community interactionTrack performance metrics and recommend improvements based on insightsSupport campaigns promoting events, programs, and initiatives across both organizationsDesign & Visual Storytelling (20%)Create graphics and visual assets for digital and print use across both brands (social media, newsletters, presentations, advertising, etc.)Ensure brand consistency across all visual materialsSupport basic photography and video content creation at events and programsMarketing & Team Support (10%)Assist with marketing campaigns, promotions, and event communications for both the Chamber and BendNEXTCoordinate email marketing efforts using platforms such as Constant Contact or similar toolsSupport cross-functional projects and special initiatives as assignedMaintain organized content calendars and shared asset librariesYour Key Attributes and SkillsStrong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with attention to tone and audienceGraphic design fluency with an eye for clean, engaging visual contentExperience managing social media platforms in a professional settingProficiency with communication and marketing tools (e.g., Constant Contact, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office suite, and social media scheduling platforms)Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projectsCreative thinker who brings fresh ideas and a solutions-oriented mindsetAbility to manage and balance priorities across two aligned but distinct organizationsCollaborative, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal and communication skillsPosition RequirementsMinimum of 3 years of experience in communications, marketing, graphic design, social media, or a related professional settingExperience with email marketing platforms and content management systems preferredFamiliarity with analytics and performance tracking toolsBachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field preferredEquivalent combination of education and experience will be consideredWorking ConditionsPrimarily office-based with some flexibility for remote workRegular attendance at Chamber and BendNEXT events for content capture and supportMay require occasional evening or early morning work depending on events or deadlinesBenefitsFlexible time offPeriodic work from home flexibility401(k) with matchingHealth, dental, and vision insuranceLife insuranceEmployee assistance programProfessional development assistancePlease apply at https://www.indeed.com/job/marketing-and-social-media-coordinator-f0a245728738ff81
