Technicians will be required to cross train between both mechanical and electrical tasks, and will be required to maintain a high-volume, high-efficiency, high-quality working ethic. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 3:30 pm (every other Friday off) Essential Functions. Other duties may be assigned.Electrical and Mechanical AssemblyUnder the direction of Electrical and Mechanical Lead Technician or PDU Assembly Supervisor - follow and interpret and work from technical assembly prints to build mechanical assemblies, bus bar assemblies, wire and install electrical components including; electrical switches, electronic instruments and devices, such as programmable process controllers (PLCs), data loggers, relays, breakers and other electronic instrumentation equipment used in the manufacture and repair of electrical power equipment Position, align, or adjust mechanical work pieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly Perform basic wiring functions Assemble and install wiring racks, and electrical bus bar as required Adjust, repair, or replace electrical, electronic and mechanical component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications Perform basic troubleshooting duties as required and diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and make necessary repairs Determine reparability and cost to repair equipment, refurbish equipment and replace defective parts. Perform installations compliant with current electrical codes, customer specifications, and IE standard procedures and quality control procedures Responsible for assigned project completion, quality and delivery according to work schedule Tools and EquipmentVarious hand tools – wire strippers, crimpers, drill, razor knife Use overhead crane, forklift, hoists, to assist in electrical assembly and moving materials/projects Properly care for and maintain tools in good operating condition; ensure tools and equipment is properly stored at the end of each shift Other Essential Duties Maintains regular and consistent job attendance, comes to work on time. Requirements:Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentExperience working on industrial electrical distribution equipment or similar industry preferredAbility to read and understand basic wiring schematics and layout diagrams. Experience with various hand tools, crimpers, wire strippers, drills and electrical testing equipment (DVOM) preferred.Lift up to 75 lbs., Push/Pull up to 100 lbs.Must be capable of standing and walking for an extended period of time.Self-motivated and capable of working in a team environment with minimal supervision.
