Manage and coordinates manufacturing employees in receiving, slitting, reduction, storage and staging area.Reports to Plant ManagerESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEnsures material to be received and in perpetual within 24 hoursReviews exception reports and non-conformance reports and resolves issues in a timely mannerCoordinates outside processors slitting and transferring of materialEnsures slit coils have been properly cost in a timely manner (including scanning slit coils)Ensures slit coil inventory levels are within the company guidelines (min/max levels maintained)Reviews receiving paperwork and assigns part numbersHolds periodic meetings with Plant Manager and Corporate PurchasingResponsible for coordinating all material rejects with Corporate Purchasing for creditEnsures timely disposition of rejected materialEnsures all manufacturing personnel follow ClarkDietrich safety rulesPrepares outbound loads to coaters (10-20/day)Ensures accuracy of inventory within Profit SystemConducts materials related trialsManages material testing proceduresResponsible for all material compliance to specification and equipment calibrationManages schedules for coil slitter and reduction equipmentApproves work hours and payrollEnforces work rules and regulationsAny other duties required by supervisorSAFETYWorks safely and follows all safety rules and operational procedures.Wears and maintains all required PPE.Keeps assigned work area clean at all times.Understands all safety devices and their operation.Notifies management if safety devices are malfunctioning or missing prior to operation.Safely operates all lifting devices per manufacturing specifications.Enforces all safety rules and regulationsSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES* Supervises receiving, storing, slitting, scheduling and staging employees.QUALIFICATIONSProblem Solver.Team Oriented.Microsoft Word and Excel advanced skillsEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEPreferred Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturingStrong interpersonal skillsStrong written and oral communicationsThe military equivalent will be recognized in lieu of education and/or experience.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS* Basic mathematical skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication and converting fractions into decimals.* Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer and caliper accurately.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSLifting-Up to 20 lbs.Standing-off and on, 4 hours per dayWalking-Off and on, 4-6 hours per daySitting-Off and on, 4 hours per dayWORK ENVIRONMENTManufacturing facility -- exposed to heat and coldPersonal Protective Equipment required at all timesControlled Noise exposureActivity level is high -- continuous movementOffice EnvironmentCLARKDIETRICH BENEFITS INCLUDEFull benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision, Flexible Spending Accounts and Life Insurance)401(k) with company matchAnnual IncentivePaid Time OffTuition ReimbursementCommunity Service Day
