Sales Engineer (CNC) -- Industrial Machinery (36210)

A manufacturer of industrial cutting machinery is on the search for an experienced Sales Engineer (CNC) to join their team in the Elk Grove Village, IL area. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and is familiar with the use and function of CNC machinery, and knowledge of the metal-cutting industry. This is a full-time, direct-hire position with an excellent benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as 401(k) matching.Sales Engineer (CNC) Responsibilities:Identify new business development opportunities and establish relationships with potential customers within assigned sales territoryAct as point of contact for customers and clients regarding product issues, quality assurance, technical support, and any other questionsCollaborate with sales and engineering teams about planning and design, customer requests, market analysis, and expected demandPreparation and delivery of product proposalsCreate price quotations and negotiate price/costs with customersSecure product orders and follow up on tracking and deliveryAchieve sales goals and revenue targets with minimal supervisionCreate sales and activity reports for upper managementOther duties as assignedSales Engineer (CNC) Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other technical field preferred, or comparable mix of education and work experienceMinimum 3 years of sales and account management experience, in a manufacturing environment preferredFamiliarity with industrial cutting machinery is strongly preferredExcellent ability to communicate and collaborate in a multicultural environmentJapanese language skills preferred but not requiredStrong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasksSolid computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsWhile performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk, and hear.
