Sleep Technologist

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Sleep Technologist to join our sleep medicine team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting sleep studies, monitoring patients during sleep, and assisting in the diagnosis of sleep disorders. Responsibilities Prepare patients for sleep studies by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort. Monitor patients’ physiological parameters during sleep using specialized equipment. Record and analyze data related to vital signs, respiratory patterns, brain activity, and other relevant metrics. Assist with setup, calibration, and maintenance of sleep study equipment. Recognize and respond to abnormal events or patient distress during studies. Maintain detailed documentation of each sleep study performed, including patient history and observations. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards within the sleep center. Collaborate with physicians to interpret diagnostic data and contribute to treatment planning. Experience Prior experience working in a sleep center or conducting sleep studies is highly preferred. Knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques and physiology is essential. Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and vital signs measurement is required. Experience with diagnostic evaluation processes for sleep disorders is advantageous. Background in performing physical examinations related to respiratory or neurological health is beneficial. Strong understanding of sleep medicine principles, including polysomnography procedures, is desirable.
