Construction Manager

Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure all required site safety meetings, inspections, audits, and compliance activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, project requirements, and applicable regulations.Maintain appropriate project staffing levels and ensure field personnel are effectively executing their assigned responsibilities.Oversee the preparation and accuracy of daily field reports, ensuring timely and complete project documentation.Lead the reporting, investigation, documentation, and resolution of all safety incidents and near misses.Prepare and distribute weekly project status reports and owner/architect/contractor (OAC) reports, while leading project coordination meetings and driving timely resolution of all project constraints and action items.Serve as the primary site representative and point of contact for internal departments, ownership teams, consultants, trade partners, and project stakeholders.Maintain accurate project schedules, milestone tracking, and progress reporting to ensure project objectives are achieved.Proactively address subcontractor performance issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary to maintain schedule, quality, and productivity expectations.Ensure all trade partner work meets established quality standards, contract requirements, and project specifications.Oversee the collection, validation, and reporting of project data to ensure accuracy and timely resolution of outstanding items.Review and validate subcontractor pay applications to ensure billing aligns with actual completed work and project milestone progress, with timely approval processing.Coordinate and manage the subcontractor pre-pay application review process to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project controls.Lead field staff development through training, performance management, mentoring, evaluations, and ongoing professional development.Maintain accountability for project-related receipts, documentation, and administrative compliance requirements.Coordinate with Project Management and Commercial/Operations leadership to monitor and update project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.Ensure the project site maintains a high standard of organization, cleanliness, presentation, and operational efficiency throughout all phases of construction.Lead turnover quality control inspections and ensure completion of all punch list and closeout requirements.Manage and coordinate the resolution and closeout of all third-party inspections, testing requirements, and regulatory approvals.Oversee pre-closeout declarations, documentation, and jurisdictional requirements to ensure successful project completion and certificate of occupancy milestones.Drive accountability across the project team to achieve safety, quality, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction objectives.
