Precision CNC Grinding Technician

About the Role As a Precision Grinding Specialist, you will play a critical role in our production facility by ensuring that high-precision metal components meet exacting customer standards. You will leverage your technical expertise in CNC machining and surface grinding to drive operational efficiency and deliver superior quality parts for global distribution. Responsibilities Configure, calibrate, and operate CNC grinding equipment to achieve precise tolerances and high-quality finishes. Translate complex customer manufacturing specifications into optimized machine programs for accurate production. Perform rigorous quality inspections using advanced measurement tools to identify defects and ensure strict adherence to design requirements. Proactively troubleshoot machinery issues to minimize downtime and maintain consistent output quality. Optimize production workflows by refining machining processes and maintaining detailed documentation. Collaborate with the production team to ensure seamless material handling and efficient job changeovers. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience operating and programming CNC or manual machining tools. Proven ability to interpret complex blueprints, technical sketches, and engineering drawings. Proficiency with precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and profilometers. Strong foundation in shop math and equipment troubleshooting techniques. Experience working within fast-paced manufacturing or production planning environments. Preferred Skills Technical familiarity with CNC milling and lathe operations (e.g., Mazak, Haas, or Okuma systems). Experience with Blanchard or other specialized surface grinding technologies. Competency in CAD/CAM software and CMM operation for advanced quality verification. Demonstrated ability to improve machining processes through analytical problem-solving.
