Software Developer – Imaging & Automation | Python & WMS SQLAbout the RoleWe are seeking a Software Developer with strong Python and WMS SQL experience and an interest in imaging, automation, and emerging technologyThis role sits at the intersection of software development, computer vision, machine learning, and industrial automation. You’ll develop solutions that use image data to analyze production processes and help integrate those insights into automated systems and real-time operations.The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer who enjoys solving complex problems, working with data and imaging technologies, and collaborating with automation, infrastructure, and operations teams.What You’ll DoDevelop and deploy image analysis solutions that support production workflowsUse Python and WMS SQL to develop applications, process data, and support production systemsApply computer vision and machine learning techniques to extract meaningful information from imagesWork with technologies such as OpenCV, YOLO, TensorFlow, or PyTorchIntegrate imaging systems with automation and control systems, including sensors, actuators, and machine interfacesDesign and maintain reliable pipelines for transmitting image data and analysis results across enterprise networksDevelop and support software running in Linux and containerized environmentsCollaborate with automation, infrastructure, engineering, and operations teams to deploy production-ready solutionsParticipate in prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of software and automation systemsUse Git and CI/CD practices to manage and deploy softwareRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; ABET-accredited program preferred4+ years of professional software development experienceStrong Python development experienceStrong WMS SQL experienceExperience with image processing, computer vision, or image analysisExperience with machine learning or deep learning frameworks such as OpenCV, YOLO, TensorFlow, or PyTorchExperience with Docker or other containerization technologiesFront-end development experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or VueExperience working in a Linux environmentExperience interfacing with I/O devices, sensors, or equipment used in automation or machine controlFamiliarity with Git and CI/CD pipelinesPreferred QualificationsExperience working in a prototyping, R&D, or engineering environmentExperience with industrial automation systems or equipmentHands-on experience developing or deploying deep learning/CNN-based image modelsExperience with networking and firewall configurationExperience integrating software with physical equipment, controls, or manufacturing/production systems Consulting Solutions and its family of companies is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
