Lead Warehouse Associate
C.H. Robinson is looking for multiple Lead Warehouse Associates to join our Plainfield North warehouse. In this role you will be responsible for responsible for assisting the warehouse supervisory team with training, coaching and overseeing the warehouse operational process. You will make sure that freight is loaded/unloaded from trailers or ocean containers and moved within the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner. The specific leads we are looking for are:International Lead: hours are Monday – Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm Traffic Clerk Lead: hours are Monday – Friday Inbound Lead: hours are Monday – Friday from 6:00am – 2:30pm Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:Support warehouse supervisory team in adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure their implementationAssist warehouse team in utilizing Warehouse Management System (WMS), including training and troubleshooting, to maintain efficient warehouse organizationReceive goods from customers and suppliers by offloading and loading vehicles, checking paperwork, weighing, measuring, and reporting discrepancies or damagesOperate stand-up, sit-down forklifts, and hand jacks for palletization, stretch wrapping, and banding of cargoLoad and unload trailers/ocean containers in a professional and damage-free mannerPrepare outbound loads by matching paperwork, labeling, and handling Unit Load Device (ULD) preparationSign off Bills of Lading accurately, verifying counts and damagesStage cargo within the warehouse safely and orderlyMaintain warehouse cleanliness and organization standards through general housekeepingEnsure quality standards are met according to standard operating procedures (SOP) or customer requirements, including reworking or recouping freightContribute to the development of new SOPs related to new business, products, or process changesSite Specific: Regular duties include cross-functional areas such as receiving, loading, picking, shipping, etc.Site Specific: Completion of weekly bond checksSite Specific: Execute Dock-to-Stock procedures and regulations at all times, maintaining building perimeter security and challenging anything or anyone untowardSite Specific: Handle bonded import freight into the External Temporary Storage (ERTS) facility in accordance with regulations and breakdown of inbound ULD’s as requiredQualificationsRequired:Must be at least 18 years oldMinimum 2 years of previous warehouse operations experiencePossess good physical stamina and coordinationCould be required to stand and/or walk for long periods daily while frequently bending, twisting, reaching, and periodically lifting up to 50 lbs.Certified forklift operatorApplicants in a warehouse role must complete a pre-employment drug screen as part of a conditional job offerSite Specific: Ability to work flexible hours and daysPreferred:High School Diploma or GEDFamiliarity with Bills of Lading, Shipping Manifests, Delivery Orders, etc. Excellent verbal communication skillsSite Specific: Ability to speak SpanishValues a diverse and inclusive work environmentWe will review applications for this role on an ongoing basis and encourage all interested candidates to apply at their earliest convenience.Compensation Range (per Hour)$20.22Questioning if you meet the mark?
