Inspection Technician
Job PurposeThe inspection technician (IT) will be part of the Inspection Team charged with leveraging CROM's long and successful history of being a value-added resource in the infrastructure inspection market by driving the quality, consistency, and timeliness of our assessments.IT will assist the Manager of Inspections (MOI) in an instrumental role proactively shaping the future of our ability to respond quickly with accurate and detailed reports and limited turnaround time.IT will compile accurate and detailed inspection reports, complete on-site inspections, collaborate with multiple departments, track reports, and assist the Manager of Inspections in all needed activities. To be successful, an IT professional will understand and embrace the company's direction and focal points to form personal initiatives to facilitate meeting objectives.Essential Duties Responsibilities1. WorkflowDownloading, filing, and compiling inspection reports and photos received through FastfieldOrganizing and completing the review process with needed individuals/departments.Track inspections with Trello and Excel reports.Creation and correspondence of documents (GNGs) for new opportunitiesPerform on-site inspections as needed2. NetworkingUtilize established standardized language to create accurate reports in collaboration with other team members via Teams, emails, and phone calls.Proactively track inspection reports for timeliness and historical purposes.Establish interpersonal business relationships to enhance collaboration in parallel departments.3. Travel is required to go to the tank sites, and working hours may vary due to inspection schedules. Must be to accommodate changes in work schedule with at least 24 hours' notice. While on-site, the ability to move around the site is needed, which will require climbing and working at heights. The ability to be trained in the use of different types of personal protective equipment, including fall protection, will be expected. Typical site conditions are expected to include loud noises as well as dust, sediment, standing water, odors, etc.
