Truck Scale Operator
Prior experience as a Truck Scale Operator or Weighmaster is mandatory for this position.
The hourly pay rate for this position is $22.00 to $24.00 per hour based on experience.
The average weekly schedule is Mon-Fri from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., plus 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
This job requires passing a pre-employment physical, drug test, and background check requirements.
This job also requires working outdoors including inclement weather (rain, snow, heat, cold, wind, etc.) It is outdoor work for the entire shift.

Job Summary:
Responsible for weighting inbound and outbound trucks and towed vehicles. Inform truck dispatcher of number of trucks needed to remove scrap material from yard.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for weighing inbound and outbound scrap trucks and vehicles towed
Responsible for the accuracy of all weighing
Keep scale in balance for all weighing (no manual input)
Ensure scale equipment in good condition
Schedule scale to be tested and calibrated four times a year
Enter the correct material codes for scrap and cars received
Responsible for collecting and posting the sale of batteries
Keep all purchasing and sales tickets in alphabetical order
Notify your supervisor with any transaction discrepancies
Test radiation detective system once a month
Log all scrap material and cars shipped out
Responsible for the end of the day report - Feeder Yard Reports
Responsible for Inventory Production
Responsible for Transfer and Adjustment to the inventory.
Forklift experience a plus
Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook
Detail-oriented, organized, efficient, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and mathematical skills
Positive attitude, goal-oriented, and ability to work with minimal supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Dependable, flexible, and ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment.

AA in Business, Accounting, or Management preferred
3 to 5 years Scale/Weighmaster, Customer Service, Business, or Accounting preferred
Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
Must be able to comfortably wear a respirator.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, procedures, and other correspondence.
Ability to speak and understand English.
