Medical Receptionist Orthopaedics Fairfax, Virginia MustMedical Receptionist - Orthopaedics2+ years of current Medical Receptionist experienceMust have scheduling experienceMust have insurance verification experienceMust have experience answering calls on a multi-lined phoneMust have experience working in a multi-physician experienceMust be able to handle working in a fast-paced officeDutiesSurgery scheduling experience highly preferredMedical Receptionist - ENT will be responsible for, but not limited the following:Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiriesOptimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephoneKeeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delaysComforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception areaEnsures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient recordsMaintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial informationObtains revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting patient charges; controlling credit extended to patients; filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claimsMaintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; scheduling equipment service and repairsHelps patients in distress by responding to emergenciesProtects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial informationMaintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changesContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededQuadrant, Inc. is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
