Project Architect

The Fort Worth office of RSP Architects continues to grow. The predominant focus of Fort Worth office of RSP Architects is retail market, supply chain sectors, and commercial facility design. RSP has a reputation for delivering creative, innovative and effective solutions on time and on budget for a wide range of clients nationwide.We are seeking a Project Architect with robust BIM and AutoCAD skills, experienced in construction document production for structural steel framed, tilt-wall concrete, insulated metal panel and/or commercial masonry buildings to join our growing team.Job ResponsibilitiesWork with senior staff to respond to project and program requirementsAble to research and implement jurisdictional zoning, site planning, and building codesUnderstand and implement all applicable codes and regulations and ensure complianceEvaluate work progress and inform senior staff regarding production expectationsPrepare design drawings, models, and/or specifications as directed by senior staffIntegrate tenant interior project document deliverables with core & shell documentsIntegrate architectural design and/or models with structural, mechanical and electrical systemsUnderstand and prepare architectural detailing requisite to project document productionParticipate in technical discussions with contractor, consultants, project teams, and clientsSubmit required documents to jurisdictional authorities for plan review and permittingRespond to plan review comments, construction submittals and requests for information as directed by senior staffUnderstand and utilize information found in project budgets, schedules, and contractsPerform observations during project construction, confirming compliance with contract documents for senior staffTravel to project sites as requiredQualificationsRegistered Architectural license requiredLEED AP, NCARB preferredProficient knowledge in Autodesk Revit, AutoCad, and Microsoft Office Suite requiredHand Sketching - intermediate experience requiredAdvanced Construction Detailing and Construction Specifications requiredBuilding Codes experience requiredIndustrial Warehouse and Distribution experience preferably IMP Wall, Freezer, Cooler or Cross-Dock FacilitiesMinimum 6 years professional experience in an architecture firm preferredMinimum 10 years of hands on production experience preferredPEMB (Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings) experience a plusWORK LOCATION: This position is on site in downtown Fort WorthOur benefits can be reviewed at www.rsparch.com/careers/If you are an individual with a disability and require a reasonable accommodation to complete any part of the application process, or are limited in the ability or unable to access or use this online application process and need an alternative method for applying, you may contact (612) 677-7100 for assistance.EOE of Minorities/Females/Vets/Disability
