Travel Radiation Therapist

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT (T) certification, Maine state license, and minimum one year of specialty experience for a variable schedule assignment in a hospital radiation oncology setting.Job Details• Work in a hospital Radiation Oncology department with outpatient and inpatient care,• Primarily adult and geriatric patient population with minimal pediatric cases,• Average of 90 patients treated daily across three Varian TrueBeam Linacs,• Uses Varian TrueBeam Linacs and Siemens Somatom Go Open Pro CT Simulator,• EMR system is Mosaiq, with experience preferred,• Flexible schedule offering either five 8-hour shifts or four 9-hour shifts plus a half day,• No weekends or on-call; holiday coverage rotated with other therapists,• Floating to cover linacs as needed,Job Requirements• Active ARRT (T) certification is required,• Maine State Radiation Therapy license required; license required if applicable,• Current BLS certification required,• Minimum of 1 year experience in radiation therapy specialty,• Experience with Varian Linacs and Mosaiq EMR preferred,• Must not have worked previously in a permanent capacity at any Northern Light Health Hospital,• Permanent address must be at least 100 miles south or southwest of the facility,Additional Information• Responsibilities include administering radiation treatments to oncology patients utilizing advanced linear accelerator technology,• Supportive team structure with a 1-1.5 week orientation based on experience and comfort level,• Flu vaccination is required; only medical exemptions will be reviewed and must be submitted at least two weeks in advance,• Professional attire with any solid color scrubs permitted; scrubs may be provided as needed,• First-time travelers will be considered for this role,• Time off requests require manager approval,
