HEAD CUSTODIAN
FLSA:NON-EXEMPT QUALIFICATIONS:Skilled in the maintenance of school building facilities, equipment and grounds relative to caring, cleaning, repairing and replacingMinimum of three years as building custodianREPORTS TO: Building Evaluator or designee SUPERVISES: Building Custodians JOB GOAL: To be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all assigned areas of the site building plant, facilities, grounds and equipment. To manage, supervise, and/or direct a variety of building service operations in order to maintain the cleanliness, sanitary conditions and appearance of the assigned school district site. TERM: Twelve months SALARY: Custodian Salary Schedule-NI, NII, or NIII PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Complete maintenance activities of building facilities, equipment and grounds as directed by custodial supervisor and/or building evaluatorFollow state, school board and school policies relative to the safety and security of buildings, equipment and suppliesManage and/or supervise the work performed by subordinate custodial staff at assignedRequisition and maintain supplies and materials necessary to provide servicePrepare and maintain records and/or reports related to custodial services and make recommendations to administratorsReport safety hazards to supervisorWork cooperatively with custodial supervisor, building evaluator, and other custodial / maintenance personnel as necessary to perform assigned duties.Adhere to schedule for routine and special tasks as approved by the building evaluator.Attend in-service training as required by the custodial supervisor and/or building evaluator.Perform other related duties as assigned by custodial supervisor and/or building evaluator.Follow federal, state, and Rapides Parish School District policies.
