Springvale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center - Assistant Food Services Director Job Description:The Assistant Food Service Director is the second highest level position in the Food Service Department. The successful candidate will report to the Food Service Director rand assists the Director in planning and supervising activities of the department and provide service to residents, employees and visitors. The Assistant Food Service Director Assists in providing technical guidance and administrative direction over food planning, menu formulation and serving of regular and therapeutic diets.Assistant Food Services Director Job Duties:Assist and support the Food Service Director with daily operations .Oversee inventory and ordering for the department.Knowledge of local, State, Federal regulations, and survey inspection process.Assist in resident meal tickets. Meal Tracker experience a PLUS.Oversee the overall sanitation and cleaning of the kitchen, storage and dining areas, and equipment.Performs other job-related duties.Assistant Food Services Director Job Requirements:Minimum of high school diploma or equivalentPrior experience working in a fast-paced cooking environmentStrong knowledge of the practices utilized in large scale & therapeutic food prepSolid leadership and supervisory skillsExcellent communication skillsMust be able to work as a team member
