Edge AI Field Applications Engineer ( West Coast) (San Jose)

Position OverviewThe Senior Edge AI Field Applications Engineer within Future Electronics' Advanced Engineering Group is responsible for providing expert technical leadership and support for advanced Edge AI solutions. This role focuses on enabling customer success through deep expertise in Edge AI architectures, embedded processors, AI accelerators, model development, optimization, and deployment across embedded systems.As a trusted technical partner, you will support customers throughout the complete design cycle — from concept and proof-of-concept to production — by providing guidance on hardware selection, AI model implementation, performance optimization, debugging, and system integration.Working closely with Future Electronics' Advanced Engineering team, Sales, and key suppliers, you will help drive regional business growth and accelerate customer adoption of innovative Edge AI technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide expert technical support for Edge AI system design, AI model development, and deploymentPartner with suppliers and customers to deliver high-value technical solutions and support qualified opportunitiesSupport hardware selection, AI model optimization, benchmarking, and real-time edge inference implementationConduct training sessions on Edge AI technologies, tools, and development frameworksAssist in developing Edge AI demonstration platforms and proof-of-concept solutionsBuild strong relationships with supplier and customer engineering teamsRepresent Future Electronics in customer-facing technical and sales activitiesStay current with emerging Edge AI technologies, products, and industry trendsPrioritize technical opportunities to maximize business impact and customer successQualifications & ExperienceEngineering degree with 5–10 years of experience in the electronics industryStrong background in Edge AI design, AI model creation, deployment, optimization, and embedded AI systemsHands-on experience with neural networks, edge inference, AI accelerators, vision processing, and power/performance optimizationExperience with Edge AI processors, development tools, software frameworks, and deployment ecosystems is highly preferredExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsHighly organized, self-motivated, and results-orientedStrong understanding of embedded electronics and electronic distribution environmentsDemonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive technical strategiesWhy join usWe take a holistic approach to employee wellness, ensuring our people are supported both at work and in life.
