Position Overview
We are seeking a driven Sales Representative with a minimum of 3 years of B2B security sales experience to join our team. This role is focused on selling physical security solutions to business clients only, but also offers the opportunity to cross-sell other technology services. The ideal candidate is a proven closer with strong networking skills and a track record of building lasting client relationships. This position offers On Target Earnings (OTE) of $120K+ annually through base salary and uncapped commissions, with the potential to build a recurring revenue stream that generates perpetual commissions.
What will set the applicant apart from others are strong contacts in the commercial real estate, property management, and development sectors with a track record of leveraging these connections to discover and prospect for new construction projects, business relocations, upfit and upgrade opportunities.
TCI brings a vast portfolio of security products to the qualified candidate such that they shouldn’t have to turn down any valid opportunity, regardless of price, size, scope, or location. We offer the opportunity to sell more than just security to allow the sales rep to add additional revenue generating products and services to each sales opportunity, including products with recurring monthly commissions. Our top producing reps are earning well in excess of the posted amounts in this job description.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities in the Hampton Roads region.
Focus primarily on security solutions (alarm, access control, video surveillance), while cross-selling VoIP, IT Managed Services, and network hardware.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with business clients.
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract execution.
Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
Represent TCI professionally in the community and at client meetings.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of B2B security sales experience (required).
Current or renewable DCJS registration.
Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work independently.
Technical mindset with a deep knowledge of alarms, access control systems, and video surveillance and their advanced application to solve business challenges and problems.
Familiarity with adjacent technology solutions (VoIP, IT services, networking) is a plus.
Must be based in or willing to work from the Virginia Beach, VA office and cover the Hampton Roads territory.
Compensation & Benefits
Minimum OTE $120K+ annually (base salary + uncapped commissions).
