Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Financial Counselor / Surgical Financial Coordinator based in Spring, TX. Key responsibilities include coordinating and counseling patients on their financial obligations for surgical procedures, verifying insurance benefits, calculating cost estimates, and ensuring payment arrangements are in place. The individual will liaise between patients and healthcare teams to provide accurate and clear financial information, ensuring a positive patient experience. They will also handle administrative tasks such as pre-authorizations, billing inquiries, and follow-up communications to resolve financial concerns. Qualifications Experience with financial counseling, patient billing, and surgical cost estimationKnowledge of insurance verification, benefits coordination, and pre-authorization processesStrong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills for patient interactionsProficiency in administrative tasks, including billing systems, data entry, and record managementAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting with attention to detailFamiliarity with medical terminology and healthcare finance is preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plusProficiency in using relevant software and technology to perform daily tasksCommitment to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining patient confidentiality
