Senior Revenue Accountant (San Jose)
About the Opportunity:We are seeking a Senior Revenue Accounting Consultant to join a global SaaS organization supporting complex, high-volume transaction accounting operations. This role will be responsible for reviewing revenue-related accounting activities, identifying anomalies within large data sets, and ensuring the accuracy of accounting records in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate combines strong operational revenue accounting expertise with exceptional business acumen, communication skills, and the ability to proactively identify issues before they escalate.This is an excellent opportunity to work within a sophisticated accounting organization that values critical thinking, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration while supporting innovative products and large-scale financial operations.Duration: 6+ Month ContractLocation: Bay Area, CA (Hybrid)Compensation: $75–$80/hourPlease note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.Scope:• Review and approve revenue-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules prepared by a shared services accountingteam• Analyze transactional activity across high-volume financial operations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of accounting results• Investigate unusual fluctuations, trends, and accounting variances, proactively identifying risks and discrepancies before they impact financial reporting• Support accounting activities related to operational revenue streams• Partner with accounting, finance, operations, and business stakeholders to resolve complex accounting issues and improve reporting accuracy• Contribute to month-end close activities within a highly accelerated close environment• Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) and accounting validation efforts related to new products, systems, and process changes• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including reporting enhancements, dashboard development, process optimization, and data analysis projects• Provide support for special projects and evolving business initiatives as neededQualifications & Expertise:• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a strong focus on operational revenue accounting• Demonstrated ability to review complex accounting transactions, reconciliations, and financial data in high-volume environments• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify exceptions, investigate root causes, and recommend solutions• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach• Experience working with large data sets and transaction-intensive operations• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with aggressive month-end close timelines• Advanced Excel and data analysis skillsPreferred Qualifications:• CPA designation and/or Big Four public accounting background• Experience supporting large-scale technology organizations or complex public companies• Exposure to high-growth environments with evolving processes and systems• Experience supporting accounting operations within accelerated closecyclesAbout Sayva: Sayva Solutions is an accounting, finance, technology, business transformation and human resources professional services firm whose focus is on long term relationships created through teamwork and doing what is in the best interest of others.
