Hiring Company:Delicatessen Services Co., LLCOverview:The Route Driver/Merchandiser plays a key role in developing new customer relationships while maintaining service levels with the existing customer base and is responsible for customer deliveries, warehouse operations, and in-store activities for our retail and food service customers. We are looking for individuals with a passion for providing excellent customer service and who excel working both independently and as a member of a team. This role requires a flexible schedule.Job Description:Essential FunctionsItemized check-in of delivered goods with a customer representativeComplete bi-weekly customer inventoryCreate bi-weekly orders based on established inventory levelsPull credits, create out-of-date memos, and issue customer creditsComplete merchandising resets and recommend opportunities for cross-merchandisingComplete 1-on-1 training with customer employees, including exceptional customer service, product knowledge, product pairings, slicing technique, etc.Complete assigned Go-Spot-Check missionsDelivery of perishable goods to customersMonitor truck maintenance schedule and coordinate necessary maintenanceContinuously cultivate relationships with customers by actively engaging with deli management and personnel to understand their customer base, evolving product or training needs, and specific opportunities/challengesComplete additional activities or special projects as assignedMinimum RequirementsJob RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent, including basic math and reasoningAbility to speak and read EnglishThree years of experience in customer service, sales, warehouse, or similar roleValid driver's license and clean driving recordBasic computer skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for a minimum of 4 hoursAbility to bend, twist, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawlAbility to lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs; push or pull objects up to 600 lbs.Ability to work in a refrigerated/freezer environmentTraining and Certification Requirements (Provided)Product knowledge and customer serviceCompany HistoryServSafe certificationDOT compliance and Safe Driver trainingLocation:Greenville, SCTime Type:Full timeDepartment:Spartan Deli Provisions
