Medical Assistant-Ancillary Technician

Job Description Medical Assistant / Ancillary Technician (Cross-Trained)Be Well Primary Care is seeking a dependable, patient-focused Medical Assistant who is interested in being cross-trained to support Ancillary Services. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on patient care, learning new clinical skills, and working in a fast-paced primary care environment. The Medical Assistant / Ancillary Technician will support providers with both direct patient care and ancillary testing and procedures.This is a full-time position within a growing primary care practice. Travel between clinic locations may be required based on operational needs.About Be Well Primary CareBe Well Primary Care currently operates five clinic locations in Alliance, Azle, Bridgeport, Denton, and Keller. We are continuing to grow and anticipate opening two additional locations in Saginaw and Argyle in the coming months. This role may ask that you travel toother clinic locations as needed and offers opportunities for growth as the organization expands.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesGreet patients and prepare them for examinations and proceduresObtain and document patient histories, vital signs, and chief complaintsAssist providers during patient visits and proceduresPerform EKGs, ear irrigations, nebulizer treatments, spirometry, WAVi brain scans, allergy testing, and vaccinations following training and established protocolsSupport and administer ancillary services as assignedProvide patient education regarding procedures, treatments, and follow-up careAccurately document all patient interactions, procedures, and results in the EMR (eClinicalWorks)Follow provider instructions and complete documentation in a timely mannerSchedule diagnostic tests and procedures and ensure proper follow-upProcess referrals and coordinate care as neededPrepare charts in advance of patient visits, including insurance verification and required documentationSend orders, prescriptions, and messages as directed by providersComplete required forms, logs, and paperwork accurately and on timeDemonstrate understanding of medical terminology, diagnoses, and CPT codingIdentify patients who may benefit from ancillary services and assist with coordinationMaintain a clean, safe, and professional clinical environmentFollow all infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelinesProvide support to other clinic locations when neededQualificationsMedical Assistant experience preferredPrimary care experience requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredExperience working with EMR systems, eClinicalWorks preferredExperience with EKGs, vaccinations, nebulizer treatments, or ancillary testing preferred but not requiredBilingual Spanish preferred but not requiredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilitiesAttention to detail and accuracyProfessional appearance and demeanorAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environmentSchedule and CompensationFull-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PMCompensation based on experience, generally ranging from $16.00 to $22.00 per hourBenefitsHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insurancePaid time offPhysical and Work RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the clinic for extended periodsAbility to lift and move medical equipment as neededMay involve exposure to bodily fluids, chemicals, and medical equipmentBe Well Primary Care is an equal opportunity employer.
